The Pantry - supporting people in Food Poverty
The Pantry is based at 4-6 Dorset Place, next to the Hastings Furniture Service building, Hastings TN34 1LG
It is open every Tuesday 10am-1pm and Friday 10am-1pm.
It is open every Tuesday 10am-1pm and Friday 10am-1pm.
The Pantry supports people who are experiencing food poverty through a membership scheme.
For a donation of £3 members have weekly access to items of long life food and toiletries plus fresh fruit, vegetables and bread.
New members are welcome but membership numbers are limited in line with food supplies. We currently have a waiting list for new Members. Proof of benefit will be required. We also know that some working people need food support as irregular incomes often lead to a crisis.
Referrals can be taken from local agencies who must provide evidence of the client’s need.
If you can help by volunteering either in the pantry or by driving to collect food for us
please call 01424 444 691 and leave your details or email [email protected]
The Pantry was set up by local charities, Relief and ETC Sussex.
It has been supported by Hastings Voluntary Action, Sussex Community Foundation, Chalk Cliff Trust,
the Julia and Hans Rausing Trust, the National Lottery Community Fund, Magdalen and Lasher Charity, Hastings Area Community Trust, Sussex Housing Trust for the Elderly, ESCC Household Support Fund
